I haven't done many Healthcare cartoons. It's a complicated issue, that I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it. This cartoon doesn't "say" a whole lot but I really like the image. I also had a ton of fun drawing the snakes and the vulture. Let me know your thoughts.
I also found out that the staff with snakes wrapped around it, is called a caduceus, and actually doesn't have anything to do with medicine. The staff with two snakes and the wings is the a symbol for Hermes, and somewhere along the way it got confused with the rod of Asclepius which has only one snake and is associated with Hippocrates and medicine.
